Abstract:

This shapefile is part of the mapping and data analysis related to the proposed Susitna-Watana hydroelectric project. The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is preparing a License Application that will be submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project using the Integrated Licensing Process. The Project is located on the Susitna River, an approximately 300-mile-long river in the south-central region of Alaska. The Project’s dam site will be located at Project River Mile (PRM) 187.1. The results of this study will provide information that will inform the 2013–2014 formal study program, Exhibit E of a license application, and FERC’s National Environmental Policy Act analysis for the Project license. This delivery contains the boundary of Priority Area 07 LiDAR data collection.

Purpose:

The purpose of this dataset was for creation of digital elevation models.
